Why I am not Christian ANYMORE?

By: Jacqueline Waheed

About thirteen years ago my life and my faith both were changed forever while searching for answers that I use to have about the Christianity and the Bible. It was not that I never believed in the Bible, yes, indeed I did believe in the Bible almost all my life until I reverted to Islam. But it was the Bible itself that gave me the proof to reject the Christianity and the Bible both. The Chapter 3 of Gospel according to John is the lifeline of the New Testament and the verse John 3:16 is the fake jewel in the fake crown of Christianity. Christian scholars have admitted that this verse John 3:16 is a later insertion, but that has hardly been my concern. The real issue for me has always been the verse John 3: 17. Let me also point out that in the New Testament at many places what Jesus is said to have uttered was not understood by the disciples and Jesus is not seen to have made any attempt to clear things up for his disciples, we find a classic example of this in John chapter 3: 1-12; let me quote John 3:16-17 before I point out the main problem.

KJV John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

There has always been a serious problem with the word everlasting used in 3:16 above. But the major problem lies in the verse 3:17 where the word might is used.

The word “might” is a clear proof that salvation by following Christianity and believing in Jesus is not only highly questionable but is contrary to the fact.

The word might is the past tense of word may, which is used in the English language to indicate a condition or state contrary to fact. Please keep this in mind that this is not my opinion, it is a fact that can be verified by using any good English dictionary or grammar rules book. Let me quote the American Heritage Dictionary to prove my point:

might2 (m؛t) aux.v. Past tense of may1. 1.a. Used to indicate a condition or state contrary to fact: She might help if she knew the truth. b. Used to indicate a possibility or probability that is weaker than may: We might discover a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. 2. Used to express possibility or probability or permission in the past: She told him yesterday he might not go on the trip. 3. Used to express a higher degree of deference or politeness than may, ought, or should: Might I express my opinion? [Middle English, from Old English meahte, mihte, first and third person sing. past tense of magan, to be able. See MAY1.]

Now who want to believe in something like John 3:16 that Jesus was alleged son of god or god himself, but John 3:17 tells us that salvation is not a matter of fact but rather it is contrary to the fact.

3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Why would some one follow a religion in which salvation is not possible and is contrary to the fact according to John 3:17; let alone guaranteed?

Let me also quote some other eye opening facts showing why I am not Christian and why you shouldn’t be as well?

Jesus and his Mother Tongue

This lack of information is so broad that we are kept in ignorance of many of Jesus’ most fundamental attributes. If a full list of his sayings has never been known to his followers, have scholars at least agreed on what tongue these sayings may have been uttered in? The gospels, as well as Christian writers from past and present, have failed to provide any answer with certainty. Among the guesswork of early scholars in the regard, we have:

a Galilaean dialect of Chaldiac (J.J.Scaliger); Syriac (Claude Saumaise); the dialect of Onkelos and Jonathan (Brian Walton); Greek (Vosius); Hebrew (Delitzsch and Resch); Aramaic (Meyer); and even Latin (Inchofer, for “the Lord cannot have used any other language upon earth, since this is the language of the saints in heaven”). (See Schweitzer, pp. 271, 275.)

The above quote obviously proves that Christians don’t have any clue that what was the mother tongue of Jesus.

CANON MONTEFIORE: WAS JESUS GAY?

Speaking of Jesus at the Modern Churchmen’s conference at Oxford, 1967, Canon Hugh Montefiore, Vicar of Great St. Mary, Cambridge, stated:

Women were his friends, but it is men he is said to have loved. The striking fact was that he remained unmarried, and men who did not marry usually had one of the three reasons: they could not afford it; there were no girls; or they were homosexual in nature. (See The Times, July 28, 1967.)

In the above quote here the Vicar of Great St. Mary; Cambridge is admitting that Jesus was Gay.

Martin Luther: Jesus Committed Adultery Thrice

Martin Luther also negates the image of a sinless Jesus. This is to be found in Luther’s Table-Talk (See Weimer edition, ii: 107) whose authenticity has never been challenged even though the coarser passages are cause for embarrassment. Arnold Lunn writes:

Weimer quoted a passage from the Table-Talk in which Luther states that Christ committed adultery three times, first with the woman at the well, secondly with Mary Magdalene, and thirdly with the woman taken in adultery, “whom he let off so lightly. Thus even Christ who was so holy had to commit adultery before he died.” (See Arnold Lunn, The Revolt Against Reason, Eyre & Spottiswoode (Publishers), London, 1950, p.233.)

Following is the original!

“Christus adulter. Christus ist am ersten ein ebrecher worden Joh. 4, bei dem brunn cum muliere, quia illi dicebant: Nemo significat, quit facit cum ea? Item cum Magdalena, item cum adultera Joan. 8, die er so leicht dauon lies. Also mus from Christus auch am ersten ein werden ehe er starb.“

Jesus and his message: Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at Hand

All sources for the so-called teachings of Jesus emanate from the anonymous authors. Herman Reimarus (1694-1768) was the first to attempt a historical modeling of Jesus. In this he drew a distinction between what lies written in the gospels and what Jesus himself proclaimed during his lifetime, concluding that his actual teachings can be summed up,

In two phrases of identical meaning, Repent, and believe the Gospel,’ or, as it is put elsewhere, ‘Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.” (See Schweitzer,p. 16)

Because he never went on to explain either of these phrases, Reimarus argues that Jesus was working and preaching within wholly Jewish framework, content with having his audience understand ‘the Kingdom of Heaven’ in the Jewish context. Namely that he was Deliverer of Israel. The intention of setting up a new religion never existed. (See ibid, pp. 16-18)

The Implications of the Term ‘Christian’ in the Early Days

In fact, it appears likely that the term ‘Christian’ was merely an invention of Roman propaganda, for in the early days,

“the name ‘Christian’ was associated with all kind of detestable crime-this, too, is a common feature of the political propaganda, and the author of 1 Peter… admonishes his readers not to suffer for the things which for the populace were implied in the name ‘Christian,’ (4:15) 4:15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters. (See Dictionary of the Bible, p. 138)

The early church busied itself with fighting this ‘Christian’ appellation, which in Roman minds was equated with a breed of criminals. Examining the origins of this terminology implies that it was Romans, and not the earliest Christians, who were eager to distinguish followers of the new religion from ancient Israelite tradition. In fact, the early church was content to designate the new religion simply as the Way, as in the ‘Way of the Lord,’ the ‘Way of Truth,’ the ‘Way of Salvation,’ and the ‘Way of Righteousness.’ (See Dictionary of the Bible, p. 139)

The above-cited facts are a brief account of truth about the Bible and Christianity, you must ask yourself the following questions:

1. Do I really want to convert or follow to a religion (Christianity) whose god himself is not guaranteeing MY salvation according to its scripture?

(3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.)

2. “might be saved” is contrary to the fact as explained above, so why should I remain a Christian or convert to Christianity?

I reverted to Islam after reading the Qur’aan and pondering upon its teachings. Islam guarantees a Jew or a Christian double reward in the Hereafter, and guaranteed forgiveness of all past sins including a guaranteed salvation without any ambiguity and confusion. I know that Islam is the same message from Adam to Muhammad (pbut).

☼ Jesus: The Most Cruel & Most Insensitive Man History Has Ever Known!

Another reason why I am not a Christian anymore.

Christians ‘non-stop mantra’ of Jesus’ so-called love that is nothing but another Trojan horse used by Christians. In fact, Jesus was the cruelest and most insensitive man history has ever known through New Testament. One of the many reasons why I converted to Islaam, is Luke 9:57-62.

Luke 9

9:57 And it came to pass, that, as they went in the way, a certain man said unto him, Lord, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.

9:58 And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

9:59 And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.

9:60 Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.

9:61 And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house.

9:62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

Foxhole is a military term, check any English dictionary. The fallacy in Luke 9:58 and Matthew 8:20 is that foxes have dens not holes again check any English dictionary. In Luke 9:59 (also see Matthew 8:22) Jesus is trying to recruit a man to his false cult whose father died, and the person said let me bury my father. Notice how cruel and insensitive Jesus is in Luke 9:60, how would you act if your father died and Jesus asked you to follow him, and he told you to not bury your father and go with him? Would you still believe in his so-called love? Is that a son of god with love? Or is that your god with love with no passion, no compassion and feeling of human suffering? I doubt that you will take Jesus to be a compassionate and sensitive human being, let alone a god or son of god. Again, in Luke 9:61-62 Jesus is not even allowing another man to say farewell to his family. If this is Jesus’ love than one can be well off with his worst enemy, because he may very well show some compassion. On the contrary Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم sent the individual/s back home (who volunteered for Jihaad) and commanded them to take care of their parent/s since for them it is a greater Jihaad to take care of their elderly parent/s. He didn’t act like Jesus did, neither he did recruit people teaching like Jesus did. Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم completed his mission leaving an empire of faith behind, while Jesus died as a false prophet mentioned in the Old Testament.

Another example to Jesus’ so-called love is found in the Luke chapter 12,

Luke 12 (also see Matthew 10:34-36)

12:51 Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:

12:52 For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.

12:53 The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

The funny part is that after name-calling, mistreating and brushing off people who ask questions (as we read in the New Testament), Jesus has the nerve to say the following in John 4:44,

John 4

4:44 For Jesus himself testified, that a prophet hath no honour in his own country.

Come on, Christians let us be realistic, will you respect a person (forget about following or believing him) like Jesus who divide your family, turn son against father, daughter against mother, who prevent you from burying your dead father’s corpse and ask you to follow him leaving your dead father behind, who don’t allow you to even say farewell to your family; that man is a control freak and sick, not a god. Why would Jesus care for your father? He hasn’t one and he is known to be an illegitimate child born out of wedlock according to Christian sources. Let me state few facts for you to ponder upon:

Jerusalem has always been a focal point of all Israelites prophets, but Jesus avoided Jerusalem as any other city because it was a city of Pharisees (who have repeatedly debunked Jesus), disputers, scribes, unbelievers, and shallow believers. Socialism preached by Jesus does not address villagers, but inhabitants of large cities. Contrary to that Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم goes to the cave of Hira but each time returns to the godless city of Makkah to carry out his mission.

Jesus never preached and Christianity has never reached the full conscientiousness of one true God. In fact, Christianity has only a vivid concept of the divine and not a clear idea of God. The mission of Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم was to make the gospels’ image of God clearer and closer to the human mind and thought that Jesus failed to accomplish. In the gospels’ God is so-called father; in the Glorious Qur’aan, God is master. In the gospels God is vaguely loved; in the Glorious Qur’aan, God is loved clearly and respected.

Jesus taught that the Christian God is the lord of the individual world (people and souls) only, while Lucifer holds the reins of the material world. That is why the Christian belief in God preconditions inward freedom, while Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم taught that the Islaamic belief in Allaah implies a demand for the outward freedom as well. The two essential dogmas of Islaam الله اكبر (Allaahu Akbar God is the Greatest) and the aqeedah لااله اللّله (la ilaha illallah There is no deity but Allaah) are at the same time two most revolutionary devices in Islaam. While Jesus preached and practiced turning the family against each other, not letting people say farewell to their families and preventing people from burying their dead father; Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم taught (notice the six commands in a single verse),

Surah An-Nahl 90

Verily, Allâh enjoins Al-‘Adl (i.e. justice and worshipping none but Allâh Alone - Islâmic Monotheism) and Al-Ihsân (i.e. to be patient in performing your duties to Allâh, totally for Allâh’s sake and in accordance with the Sunnah (legal ways) of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم in a perfect manner), and giving (help) to kith and kin {1} (i.e. all that Allâh has ordered you to give them e.g., wealth, visiting, looking after them, or any other kind of help), and forbids Al-Fahshâ’ (i.e. all evil deeds, e.g. illegal sexual acts, disobedience of parents, polytheism, to tell lies, to give false witness, to kill a life without right), and Al-Munkar (i.e. all that is prohibited by Islâmic law: polytheism of every kind, disbelief and every kind of evil deeds), and Al-Baghy (i.e. all kinds of oppression). He admonishes you, that you may take heed.

{1} (V.16: 90) Degree of kinship: First of all, your parents, then your offspring, then your brothers and sisters, then your paternal uncles and aunts (from your father’s side), then your maternal uncles and aunts (from your mother’s side), and then other relatives.

In the gospels we find the frequent rhetoric based on certain words like blessed, holy, angel, eternal, life, heaven, Pharisee, sin, love, repentance, forgiveness, mystery, body (as the bearer of sin), soul, purification, salvation and so on. In the Glorious Qur’aan, the same terms are based on an image of the world, the foreground of which is now occupied by entirely definite and realistic terms such as:  reason, justice, health, weapons, battle position, strength, buying, contract, pledge, writing, cleanliness, force, struggle, trade, fruit, decisiveness, caution, punishment, profit, revenge, hunt, medicine, and so on.

We can draw similar conclusions by comparing Mosque and Church. A Mosque is a place for people, while a church is “God’s temple.” In the Mosque, an atmosphere of rationality prevails; in a church it is an atmosphere of mystery and mysticism. A Mosque is always the focus of activity, close to the market and at the heart of the settlement, while the church seems too elevated for a similar position. The architecture of the church tends to stress ceremonious silence, darkness, height, and a hint of the “other world.” Contrary to that in a Mosque, people are supposed to discus certain very earthly issues after the prayers.

Let us now compare of Christian principle of the Pope’s infallibility to the infallibility of the Islaamic Ijmaa: Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم said,

“My Ummah shall never collectively agree upon error.”

The New Testament turn to the man, the Glorious Qur’aan turns to the people, emerging the principle of the whole community. Christianity and materialism cannot produce a system of law. Law as seen by Christians, is an illusory attempt to bring this world into order, an attempt that has always failed as it is inevitably bound to fail in the end. Jesus came to restore (hollow) love and not justice. Nonetheless, love does not belong to this world; it is a heavenly virtue according to St. Thomas Aquinas. Jesus did not recognize the need for judges (Luke 12:13-15). Law is objective, involved in politics and society while totally facing the world. But at the same time, it includes norms, ethics, and tries to bring into this world the principle of justice, which is a moral principle. As such law is a “bipolar unity: like man and Islaam.

In Christianity there is no place for marriage. Jesus called (Mark 5:27-28) for complete chastity (for others) but never practiced himself.

Let me quote few more verses from the teachings and message of Muhammad

Surah Al-Baqarah 83

And (remember) when We took a covenant from the Children of Israel, (saying): Worship none but Allâh (Alone) and be dutiful and good to parents, and to kindred, and to orphans and Al-Masâkîn {1} (the poor), and speak good to people (i.e. enjoin righteousness and forbid evil, and say the truth about Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), and perform As-Salât (Iqâmat-as-Salât), and give Zakât. Then you slid back, except a few of you, while you are backsliders. (Tafsir al-qurtubî.

{1} (V.2: 83) Narrated Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه: Allâh’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said, " Al-Miskîn (the poor) is not the one who goes round the people and ask them for a mouthful or two (of meals) or a date or two, but Al-Miskîn (the poor) is that who has not enough (money) to satisfy his needs and whose condition is not known to other, that others may give him something in charity, and who does not beg of people.” (Sahih Al-Bukhâri Vol.2 Hadith No. 557. (Please also see Tafsir At-Tabarî (Verse 9:60))

Surah An-Nisaa 36

Worship Allâh and join none with Him (in worship); and do good to parents, kinsfolk, orphans, Al-Masâkîn (the poor), the neighbor who is near of kin, the neighbor who is a stranger, the companion by your side, the wayfarer (you meet), and those (slaves) whom your right hands possess. Verily, Allâh does not like such as are proud and boastful.

Surah Al-An'am 151

Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "Come, I will recite what your Lord has prohibited you from: Join not anything in worship with Him; be good and dutiful to your parents; kill not your children because of poverty - We provide sustenance for you and for them; come not near to Al-Fawâhish (shameful sins, illegal sexual intercourse) whether committed openly or secretly; and kill not anyone whom Allâh has forbidden, except for a just cause (according to Islâmic law). This He has commanded you that you may understand.

Some ahadeeth from Sahih Bukhari:

1 - CHAPTER: Kindness and saying good relatioons

The saying of Allah (the Exalted and Almighty):

«And We have enjoined on man, to be good and dutiful to his parents»

(29:8).

[5970] Al-Walid bin 'Aizar narrated: I heard Abu Amr: Akh-Shaibani saying: «The owner of this house» he pointed to 'Abdullah house, said: «I asked the Prophet (may the blessing and peace of Allah be upon him), which deed is most beloved by Allah (the Exalted and Almighty)?» He replied: To offer prayer in its proper times». 'Abdullah asked: «What is the next (in goodness)?» The Prophet (may the blessing and peace of Allah be upon him) said: «To be good and dutiful to one's parents». 'Abdullah asked: «What is the next (in goodness)?» The Prophet (may the blessing and peace of Allah be upon him) said: «To participate in the Holy struggle for Allah's Cause». 'Abdullah added: «The Prophet (may the blessing and peace of Allah be upon him) narrated to me these three things, and if I had asked more, he would have told me more».

3 - CHAPTER: One should not go for the Holy Struggle without the permission of one's parent

[5972] 'Abdullah bin 'Amr narrated: A man said to the Prophet (may the blessing and peace of Allah be upon him): «Shall I participate in The Holy struggle?» The Prophet (may the blessing and peace of Allah be upon him) said: «Are your parents living?» The man said: «Yes». The Prophet (may the blessing and peace of Allah be upon him) said: «Struggle for their sake».

4 - CHAPTER: A man should not abuse his parents

[5973]  'Abdullah bin 'Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: Allah's Apostle (may the blessing and peace of Allah be upon him) said: «It is one of the greatest sins that a man should curse his parents». It was asked (by the people): «O Allah's Apostle! How does a man curse his parents?» The Prophet (may the blessing and peace of Allah be upon him) said: «The man abuses the father of another man and the latter abuses the father of the former and abuses his mother».

6 - CHAPTER: To be undutiful to one's parents is one of the great sins. This is said by Ibn 'Umar from the Prophet (may the blessing and peace of Allah be upon him)

[5975] Al-Mughira narrated: The Prophet (may the blessing and peace of Allah be upon him) said: «Allah has forbidden you to be undutiful to your mothers, to withhold (what you should give) or demand (what you do not deserve), and to bury your daughters alive. And Allah has disliked that you talk too much about others, ask too many questions (in religion), or waste your property.

[5976] Abu Bakra (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: Allah's Apostle (may the blessing and peace of Allah be upon him) said thrice: «Shall not I inform you of the biggest of the great sins?» We said: «Yes, O Allah's Apostle» He said: «To join partners in worship with Allah; to be undutiful to one's parents». The Prophet (may the blessing and peace of Allah be upon him) sat up after he had been reclining and added: «And I warn you against giving forged statement and a false witness; I warn you against giving a forged statement and a false witness». The Prophet (may the blessing and peace of Allah be upon him) kept on saying that warning till we thought that he would not stop.

[5977] Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: Allah's Apostle (may the blessing and peace of Allah be upon him) mentioned the greatest sins or he was asked about the greatest sins. He said: «To join partners in worship with Allah; to kill a soul which Allah has forbidden to kill; and to be undutiful or unkind to one's parents». The Prophet (may the blessing and peace of Allah be upon him) added: «Shall I inform you of the biggest of the great sins? That is the forged statement of the false witness». Shu'ba (the sub-narrator) states that most probably the Prophet (may the blessing and peace of Allah be upon him) said: «The false witness».

This is a very brief comparison between the teachings of Jesus and Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم and no person with animated mind will deny the greatness and superiority of the teachings of Islaam brought by Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم. Choice is clear, in the message of Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم there is no cruelty and no insensitiveness. That is why I left Christianity and embraced Islaam.
