Bible Foretold The Revelation
of Glorious Qur’aan
By Shahid Bin Waheed
Christians, especially
their missionaries love to spread rumors about Islaam, Prophet Muhammad (SAW)
and Glorious Qur’aan. I wish that they must stop showing this willful and
reckless disregard to the truth. And those Christians who are ignorant of their
own Scripture must augment themselves with what is preserved in their redacted Bible as proof by the Almighty God.
Following verses (from the Book of Isaiah) are prophesizing about the
revelation of Glorious Qur’aan:
028:011 For with stammering lips and another tongue will
he speak to this people. 028:012 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye
may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.
028:013 But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept
upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a
little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and
taken.
First and foremost
let me make it perfectly clear that no other Divine Book except Glorious
Qur’aan was revealed in piecemeal. There is no dispute that it is Glorious
Qur’aan that was revealed in twenty-three years in Arabic as described in verse above verses.
Allaah (SWT) says in Glorious Qur’aan about its revelation:
Glorious Qur’aan was revealed in Arabic dialect as
described in Isaiah 28:11 as another tongue,
we read in Qur’aan 12:2!
Verily, We have sent it down as an
Arabic Qur’ân in order that you may understand.
Also see verses: 13:37; 16:103; 19:97; 20:113; 26:195
& 198; 39:28; 41:3 & 44; 42:7; 43:3; 44:58 and 46:12
Following verses are about revelation of Glorious Qur’aan in
installments and about the wisdom behind it:
17:106!
And (it is) a Qur’ân which We have divided (into parts), in
order that you might recite it to men at intervals. And We have revealed it by
stages
(In 23 years).
25:32!
And those who disbelieve say: "Why is not the Qur’ân revealed
to him all at once?" Thus (it is sent down in parts), that We may
strengthen your heart thereby. And We have revealed it to you gradually, in
stages.
(It was revealed to the Prophet
in 23 years.).
Again do the infidels say: If only the Qur'aan were
revealed to him all at once! But We reveal it in this manner (gradual growth)
to lay it to your heart and establish it firmly so that it prevails upon you (O
Muhammad) and you be confirmed in opinion, action and purpose and We peruse it
slowly and We take Our time.
Glorious Qur’aan 3:7!
It is He Who has sent down to you (Muhammad
the Book (this Qur’ân). In it are Verses that are entirely clear, they are the
foundations of the Book (and those are the Verses of Al-Ahkâm (commandments),
Al-Fara’id (obligatory duties) and Al-Hudud
(legal laws for the punishment of thieves, adulterers)); and others not
entirely clear. So as for those in whose hearts there is a deviation (from the
truth) they follow that which is not entirely clear thereof, seeking Al-Fitnah (polytheism and trials), and seeking for its hidden
meanings, but none knows its hidden meanings save Allâh. And those who are
firmly grounded in knowledge say: "We believe in it; the whole of it
(clear and unclear Verses) are from our Lord." And none receive admonition
except men of understanding.
(Tafsir At-Tabarî).
It is He Who has revealed to you (O Muhammad) the Book - The
Qur'an - with revelations that are precise and exactly defined; these
constitute the essential part and the fundamental or groundwork of Allah's system
of faith and worship and exact understanding and obedience from every
intellectual being. Other revelations are simulative; they describe a subject
under the guise of some other subject of aptly suggestive resemblance. Those
with ill-natured and perverse hearts choose to follow only the simulative to
interpret them as they please. Motivated by malice, they present the
interpretation that causes dissension and induces discord, when no one knows
the exact interpretation but Allah. But those with well-founded knowledge who
are acquainted with the facts declare their firm belief in the Qur'an and
express their thoughts in words: It is all disclosed by Providence. But no one
reflects except those with sound mind,
Glorious Qur’aan 3:164!
Indeed Allâh conferred a great favour on the believers when He
sent among them a Messenger (Muhammad صلى
الله عليه وسلم) from among themselves, reciting unto them
His Verses (the Qur’ân), and purifying them (from sins by their following him),
and instructing them (in) the Book (the Qur’ân) and Al-Hikmah (the
wisdom and the Sunnah of the Prophet
(i.e. his legal ways, statements, acts of worship)), while before that they had
been in manifest error. {1}
{1} (V.3: 164) Following the Sunnah (legal ways) of the Prophet
And the Statement of Allâh عز وجل - "And make us leaders for the
righteous." (V.25: 74). Mujâhid said, "(Make us) a community that
follows the Muttaqűn (righteous) people who preceded us, and whom those succeeding may
follow." Ibn ‘Aun said, "(There are) three things which I love for
myself and for my brothers, i.e. this Sunnah (the legal ways of the Prophet صلى
الله عليه وسلم) which they should learn and ask about;
the Qur’ân which they should understand and ask the people about; and that they
should leave the people except when intending to do good (for them)."
(Sahih Al-Bukhâri, Vol.9, Chap.
2, P.282) A) Narrated Hudhaifah: Allâh’s Messenger صلى
الله عليه وسلم said to us, "Certainly Al-Amânah (the trust or
the moral responsibility or honesty, and all the duties which Allâh has
ordained) descended from the heavens and settled in the roots of the hearts of
men (faithful believers), and then the Qur’ân was revealed and the people read
the Qur’ân, (and learnt Al-Amânah from it) and also learnt it from the Sunnah, (Both the Qur’ân and As-Sunnah strengthened
their (the faithful believer’s) Amânah)." (Sahih Al-Bukhâri, Vol. 9, Hadîth No.381). B) Narrated Abu Hurairah رضي
الله عنه: Allâh’s Messenger صلى
الله عليه وسلم said, "All my followers will enter
Paradise except those who refuse." They said, "O Allâh’s Messenger!
Who will refuse?" He said, "Whoever obeys me will enter Paradise, and
whoever disobeys me is the one who refuses (to enter it)." (Sahih Al-Bukhâri, Vol.9, Hadîth No.384). C) Narrated Jâbir bin
‘Abdullâh رضي الله عنهما: Some angels came to Prophet Muhammad
while he was sleeping. Some of them said, "He is sleeping." Others said,
His eyes are sleeping but his heart is awake." Then they said, "There
is an example for this companion of yours." One of them said, "Then
set forth an example for him." Some of them said, "He is
sleeping." The others said, "His eyes are sleeping but his heart is
awake." Then they said, "His example is that of a man who has built a
house and then, offered therein a banquet and sent an inviter (messenger) to
invite the people. So whosoever accepted the invitation of the inviter, entered
the house and ate of the banquet, and whoever did not accept the invitation of
the inviter, did not enter the house, nor did he eat of the banquet." Then
the angels said, "Interpret this parable to him so that he may understand
it." Some of them said, "He is sleeping." The others said,
"His eyes are sleeping but his heart is awake." And then they said,
"The house stands for Paradise and the call-maker is Muhammad صلى الله عليه
and whoever obeys Muhammad
obeys Allâh; and whoever disobeys Muhammad صلى
separated the people (i.e., through his message, the good is distinguished from
the bad, and the believers from the disbelievers)." (Sahih Al-Bukhâri, Vol.9, Hadîth No.385). D) Narrated Abu Műsa رضي الله عنه: The Prophet صلى
الله عليه وسلم said, "My example, and the example of
what I have been sent with, is that of a man who came to some people and said,
‘O people I have seen the enemy’s army with my own eyes, and I am the naked
warner; so protect yourselves!’ Then a group of his people obeyed him and fled
at night proceeding stealthily till they were safe, while another group of them
disbelieved him and stayed at their places till morning when the army came upon
them, and killed and ruined them completely. So this is the example of that
person who obeys me and follows that truth which I have brought (the Qur’ân and
the Sunnah), and the
example of the one who disobeys me and disbelieves the truth I have
brought." ( Sahih Al-Bukhari
, Vol.9, Hadîth No.387).
And verily, it (the Qur’ân, and its revelation to Prophet
Muhammad
عليه وسلم) is (announced) in the Scriptures (i.e.
the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)) of former people.
(Glorious Qur’aan 26:196)
In conclusion, it is obvious that the prophecy in Isaiah 28:11-13 is about the revelation of Glorious
Qur’aan that come to pass over 1, 423 years ago. Preserving the proof in
the Bible about Islaam, Glorious Qur’aan and advent of Prophet Muhammad (SAW)
was a part of Allaah’s master plan, despite of all the redaction and/or
adulteration in the Bible.
