All the praises and
thanks be to Allaah, Sustainer of the Universe, and blessing and salutation to
be the most distinguish of the Messengers and foremost among the
Prophets, our Prophet Muhammad, peace
and blessings of Allaah be on him and on his wives, children and Companions.
In this brief treatise, we have presented seven prophecies from the New Testament out of numerous, which concussively proves the advent of Islam and arrival of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) that was the main message of Jesus.
Matthew
3:1-3 & 4:17(Prophecy # 1)
003:001 In
those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,
003:002 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. 003:003
For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of
one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths
straight.
004:017 From
that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven
is at hand
Church fathers and Evangelists have been
giving the spin about “Kingdom of Heaven” the explanation and definition
depends whom you ask? This term in
the above verses refers to revelation of a Bock containing perfect Divine Law
that will be the core of the Kingdom of God. This Divine revelation is no other
than Glorious Qur’aan that to be proclaimed and promulgated with prestige and
authority and that the rebellious and disobedient of God would be subject to
punitive laws. The Divine Law
brought by Muhammad (SAW) under which the enemies of God were fought against,
criminals were punished with divine ordinances, adulterers were stoned to
death, fornicators were flogged to get the end results desired and to maintain
a perfect peace.
But how
many generations before them did We destroy (for their sins) stronger in power
than they? Then did they wander through the land: was there any place of escape
(for them)? (Glorious Qur’aan 50:37)
This Qur'aan is not such as can be produced by other than Allah; on the contrary it is a confirmation of (revelations) that went before it, and a fuller explanation of the Book - wherein there is no doubt - from the Lord of the Worlds. (Glorious Qur’aan 10:37)
Matthew 21:42-44 (Prophecy # 2)
021:042
Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the
builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the
Lord's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes? 021:043 Therefore say I unto
you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing
forth the fruits thereof. 021:044 And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall
be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.
The word “Builders” used in the above verses means the Israelites and Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is referred as “corner stone.” Because he (Muhammad) is the eyes of Jews like an undesired stone. Jews did their best to reject him (Muhammad), here the prophecy makes an obvious but indirect reference to the redaction in Tawrat (Torah) in which Jews excluded Ishmael and deprived him from his rights as the first born, actual party of the covenant and sacrifice. They deny Ishmael the inheritance as well. So Arabia, Makkah, Ishmael’s settlement in Paran (Makkah) and the advent of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) from the seed of Ishmael shares the same rejection from Jews and Christians.
But the Divine decree made the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) the “Keystone” of the Arch. In a Hadith Prophet Muhammad (SAW) reported to have said that:
“Likeness of him and the former prophets is that if one built an elegant palace except a place for a brick, people go around it and say why this place has been left unfilled. I am last of the prophets i.e., I am the filler of that gap, and with me this building is completed and with me ends the apostleship and Prophethood (Sahih Al-Bukhari).”
Again, “And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken” must be reconciled and understood with “Daniel 2:31-35” and dream of Atika daughter of Abdul Muttalib I have already discussed earlier. In brief, Quraishites were broken in the battle of Badr. They were smashed and Muhammad’s might fall upon them opening the door for conquest of Makkah, followed by Byzantine, Persia, Syria, Egypt, Yemen and many other Empires fell in the feet of Islaam. Ishmaelites are the fruit-bearing nation without a doubt. Who under the guidance of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) became the rulers of Islaamic Empire, the true kingdom of God. This prophecy is about Prophet Muhammad (SAW) the inheritor of kingdom of the heaven.
It must be remembered that Jesus himself didn’t prophecies about himself in this prophecy. Christians claim that Jesus is the seed of David and/or son of David, (son of Isaac) who was highly respected among Israelites, and could not be that rejected stone. Also Jesus was not the last of the prophets on his own admission (also see John 14: 16, 26, 27, 29-30; John 15:26; John 16: 7:14 & Matthew 3:11).
The Israelites expected another prophet apart from Jesus, as we read in the Bible when John the Baptist appeared; the Jews asked him if he was “that Prophet?” And he answered no to this question.
Another point worth making is that Jesus never “fell on others”, but when Jews fell upon Jesus, according to Christian belief Jesus was broken into pieces.
John
14:16, 26-27, 29-30; John 15:26 & John 16: 7-14 (Prophecy # 3)
014:016 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever:
014:026 But
the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name,
he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance,
whatsoever I have said unto you.
014:027 Peace
I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I
unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
014:029 And
now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye
might believe. 014:030 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince
of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
015:026
But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even
the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
016:007 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. 016:008 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 016:009 Of sin, because they believe not on me; 016:010 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; 016:011 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. 016:012 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. 016:013 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 016:014 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
003:011 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:
This prophecy needs to be understood with context that is scattered in different places in the gospels for clear and better understanding. We also notice that this prophecy is the final words of Jesus, before his departure. We can safely also call it the “Will of Jesus” since this is what Jesus told and directed his disciples that:
Glorious Qur’aan 61:6 says:
And (remember) when 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), said: "O Children of Israel! I am the Messenger of Allah unto you confirming the Taurāt [(Torah) which came] before me, and giving glad tidings of a Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmed. But when he (Ahmed i.e. Muhammad SAW) came to them with clear proofs, they said: "This is plain magic."
Sometimes an argument is tossed by Jews and Christians if it is really so then what prevented all the contemporary Jewish and Christian doctors from becoming Muslims?
Christians themselves may elicit the short and simple answer by employing the Bible itself that Jesus may blame to those who did not accept Islaam. “They believe not in me.” (John 16:10), that is to say, “believing they believe not.”
Matthew 13:31-32 (Prophecy # 4)
013:031
Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like
to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: 013:032
Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the
greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come
and lodge in the branches thereof.
Undoubtedly
the kingdom of heaven is the kingdom of Islaam, which began from nothing but a
word, or as if was size of mere mustard seed that soon covered the entire earth
as a strong plant overshadowing all other kingdoms. Glorious Qur’aan refers to
this prophecy as (48:29):
Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) is the Messenger of Allāh. And those who are with him are severe against disbelievers, and merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and falling down prostrate (in prayer), seeking Bounty from Allāh and (His) Good Pleasure. The mark of them (i.e. of their Faith) is on their faces (foreheads) from the traces of prostration (during prayers). This is their description in the Taurāt (Torah). But their description in the Injeel (Gospel) is like a (sown) seed which sends forth its shoot, then makes it strong, and becomes thick and it stands straight on its stem, delighting the sowers, that He may enrage the disbelievers with them. Allāh has promised those among them who believe (i.e. all those who follow Islāmic Monotheism, the religion of Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم till the Day of Resurrection) and do righteous good deeds, forgiveness and a mighty reward (i.e. Paradise).
See you not how Allāh sets forth a parable? A goodly word as a goodly tree, whose root is firmly fixed, and its branches (reach) to the sky (i.e. very high). (25)Giving its fruit at all times, by the Leave of its Lord, and Allāh sets forth parables for mankind in order that they may remember. (Glorious Qur’aan 14:24-25)
Matthew
20:1-16 (Prophecy # 5)
020:001
For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is a householder, which went
out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard. 020:002 And when
he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his
vineyard. 020:003 And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing
idle in the marketplace, 020:004 And said unto them; Go ye also into the
vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way.
020:005 Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise. 020:006
And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and
saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle? 020:007 They say unto him,
Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the
vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive. 020:008 So when even
was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers,
and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first. 020:009 And
when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man
a penny. 020:010 But when the first came, they supposed that they should have
received more; and they likewise received every man a penny. 020:011 And when
they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house, 020:012
Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal
unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day. 020:013 But he
answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou
agree with me for a penny? 020:014 Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will
give unto this last, even as unto thee. 020:015 Is it not lawful for me to do
what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good? 020:016 So the
last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.
In this prophecy the “Householder” is meant the God, “ the vineyard” is means Divine faith, and “the laborers” means the followers of prophets. And by “the group of the laborers who came last but worked an hour” is a reference to the followers of Last Prophet Muhammad (SAW), the truly chosen ones, the saved sect which is the Muslim Ummah (nation) who came last but stood first.
Sahih Bukhari:
[2268] Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: «The Prophet (the blessing and peace of Allah be upon him) said: «Your example and the example of the people of the two Scriptures (i.e. Jews and Christians) is like the example of a man who employed some laborers and asked them: «Who will work for me from morning till midday for one carat? The Jews accepted and carried out the work. He then asked: «Who will work for me midday up to the Afternoon prayer for one carat?». The Christians accepted and fulfilled the work. He then said: «Who will work for me from the Afternoon till Sunset for two carat?». You, Muslims have accepted the offer. The Jews and Christians got angry and said: «Why should we work more and get lesser wages'? (Allah) said: «Have I withheld part of your right?» They replied in the negative. He said: «It is My Blessing, I bestow upon whomever I wish».
9-CHAPTER: Employment up to the Afternoon prayer
[2269]
Abdullah bin 'Umar bin Al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated:
«Allah's Apostle (the blessing and peace of Allah be upon him) said: «Your example
and the example of Jews and Christians is like the example of a man who
employed some laborers to whom he said: «Who will work for me up to midday for
one carat each? The Jews carried out the work for one carat each; and the
Christians carried out the work up to the Afternoon prayer for one carat each;
and now you Muslims are working from the Afternoon prayer up to sunset for two
carat each. The Jews and Christians got angry and said: «We work more and are
pain less: «Allah said to them: «Have I usurped some of your right». They
replied in the negative. He said: «That is My Blessing, I bestow upon that who
I desire».
Chapter 85
PERTAINING TO THE WORDS OF THE
APOSTLE OF ALLAH (SAW): «I WOULD BE THE FIRST AMONG PEOPLE TO INTERCEDE IN THE PARADISE
AND AMONG THE APOSTLES I WOULD HAVE THE LARGEST FOLLOWING»
[196] Anas b. Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: I would be the first among people to intercede to Paradise and amongst the apostles I would have the largest followers (on the Day of Resurrection).
[196R1] Anas b. Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: Amongst the apostles I would have the largest followers on the Day of Resurrection, and I would be the first to knock at the door of Paradise.
[196R2] Anas b. Malik said: The Apostle of Allah (SAW) said: I would be the first intercessor to Paradise and no apostle amongst the apostles has been testified (by such a large number of people) as I have been testified. And verily there would be an apostle among the apostles who would be testified by only one man from his people.
[197] Anas b. Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: I will come to the gate of Paradise on the Day of Resurrection, and would seek its opening, and the keeper would say: Who art thou? I would say: Muhammad. He would then say: It is for thee that I have been ordered, and not to open it for anyone before thee.
[855R2]
Abu Hurairah reported what Allah's Messenger (SAW) had said: We are the last
(but) we would be the first on the Day of Resurrection. We would be the first
to enter Paradise. Never the less they were given the Book before us, and we
were given after them. They disagreed and Allah guided us aright on whatever
they disagreed regarding the truth. And it was this day, which they disagreed,
but Allah guided us to it, and that is Friday for us, the next day is for the
Jews, and the following day for the Christians.
John
16:16-19 (Prophecy # 6)
016:016
A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall
see me, because I go to the Father. 016:017 Then said some of his disciples
among themselves, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while, and ye
shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me: and, Because
I go to the Father? 016:018 They said therefore, What is this that he saith, A
little while? we cannot tell what he saith. 016:019 Now Jesus knew that they
were desirous to ask him, and said unto them, Do ye enquire among yourselves of
that I said, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little
while, and ye shall see me?
Chapter 16 of gospel of John is very important since it explicitly with full context describes many things that Jesus said before his departure addressing his disciples. The verses 16 to 19 are certainly about the account of Jesus’ departure and his second coming. Let us keep this in mind that in this very important chapter nowhere it is stated that Jesus is “dying” for people’s sins and will come back to life again. In fact death in not mentioned and neither implied by Jesus.
“A little while, and ye shall
not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the
Father” this verse (16) can be confirmed by the Glorious Qur’aan in the
following verses:
And (remember) when Allāh said: "O ‘Īsā! I will take you and raise you to Myself and clear you (of the forged statement that ‘Īsā is Allāh’s son) of those who disbelieve, and I will make those who follow you (Monotheists, who worship none but Allāh) superior to those who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allāh, or disbelieve in some of His Messengers, e.g. Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم, ‘Īsā, Mūsā, etc., or in His Holy Books, e.g. the Taurāt (Torah), the Injeel (Gospel), the Qur’ān) till the Day of Resurrection {1} . Then you will return to Me and I will judge between you in the matters in which you used to dispute."
(Glorious Qur’aan
3:55)
{1} (V.3: 55) The advent (descent) of ‘Īsā, (son of Maryam) عليه السلام.
a) Narrated Abu Hurairah رضي الله عبه Allāh’s Messenger صلى الله عليه و سلم
said, "By Him in Whose Hand my soul is, surely (‘Īsā), the son of Maryam عليه السلامwill shortly descend amongst you
(Muslims), and will judge mankind justly by the law of the Qur’ān (as a just
ruler); he will break the cross and kill the pigs and there will be no Jīzyah " (i.e.
taxation taken from non-Muslims). Money will be in abundance so that nobody
will accept it, and a single prostration to Allāh (in prayer) will be better
than the whole world and whatever is in it." Abu Hurairah added: "If
you wish, you can recite (this Verse of the Qur’ān): "And there is
none of the people of the Scriptures (Jews and Christians) but must believe in
him (i.e. ‘Īsā عليه السلام as a Messenger of Allāh and a human being) before his (‘Īsā عليه السلام
or a Jew’s or Christian’s) death, and on the Day of Resurrection, he (‘Īsā عليه السلام)
will be a witness against them." (4:159). (See Fath Al-Bari, Vol.7, Page
No.302) According to the quotation of Kushmaihani there is the word Al-Jizyah * instead of Al-Harb (Sahih Al-Bukhāri, Vol.4, Hadīth No.657). b)
Narrated Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه Allāh’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم
said: "How will you be when the son of Maryam (i.e. ‘Īsā عليه السلام descends
amongst you, and he will judge people by the Law of the Qur’ān and not by the
law of the Injeel (Gospel)." (Fath Al-Bari, Vol.7, Pages 304 and 305) (Sahih Al-Bukhāri, Vol.4, Hadīth No.658). * The Jizyah: a tax imposed on
non-Muslims who would keep their own religion, rather than embrace Islām) will
not be accepted by ‘Īsā عليه السلام, but all people will be required to
embrace Islām and there will be no other alternative.
And he (‘Īsā, son of Maryam)
shall be a known sign for (the coming of) the Hour (Day of Resurrection) (i.e.
‘Isā’s descent on the earth). {1} Therefore have no doubt
concerning it (i.e. the Day of Resurrection). And follow Me (Allāh) (i.e. be
obedient to Allāh and do what He orders you to do, O mankind)! This is the
Straight Path (of Islāmic Monotheism, leading to Allāh and to His Paradise). (Glorious
Qur’aan 43:61)
{1} (V.43:
61) See the footnote of (V.3: 55).
Matthew 19:23-24 (Prophecy # 7)
019:023
Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall
hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. 019:024 And again I say unto you, It
is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to
enter into the kingdom of God.
The above two verses from Gospel of Matthew contains two prophecies which are required to be understood with the context of John chapter 16:7-8 & 16: 12-14, which reads:
016:007
Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for
if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will
send him unto you. 016:008 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of
sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
016:012
I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. 016:013
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all
truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that
shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 016:014 He shall glorify
me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
The two prophesies in Matthew 19:23-24 are about two kingdoms, since the salvation of mankind is based on entrance of these two kingdoms.
The
Kingdom of God is Islaam that was brought as a Divine Gift to the mankind by
the Spirit of Truth & Son of Man, Muhammad.
Jesus
said in Matthew 19:24 (019:024 And
again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a
needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
The
use of word “again” is obvious that Jesus has emphasized it before. The
phrase “It is easier for a
camel to go through the eye of a needle” refers to the impossibility that
rich man (means kings, priests, popes, and other rich men who perverted the
message of Jesus and prevented the naļve and weak through lies, deception and
force from following the true message of Jesus). As we know that Christianity
was founded and financed by King Herod who used his power and money to buy out
the Council of Nicene injecting entire paganism and polytheism in the Message
of Jesus.
Thus the power hungry kings and church fathers made an alliance against Islaam the Kingdom of God on earth, rather following the last will and testament of Jesus (see John chapter 16: 7-8, 12-14). Thus they will not enter to the Kingdom of Heaven (eternal) as said in Matthew “019:023 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.”
This is also decreed in Glorious Qur’aan (7:40) declaring them as disbelievers:
Verily, those who belie Our Ayāt (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations) and treat them with arrogance, for them the gates of heaven will not be opened, and they will not enter Paradise until the camel goes through the eye of the needle (which is impossible). Thus do We recompense the Mujrimūn (criminals, polytheists and sinners).
Salvation is a two-step process for the Christians (1) To believe in the message of Jesus, as cited above from John chapter 16 that is to accept Islaam, which is the entry to the Kingdom of God of earth. (2) Following the Son of Man, and the Spirit of Truth that is Muhammad (SAW) is the pre-requisite to the entry to the Kingdom of Heaven.
The Divine Decree in
Glorious Qur’aan (3:85) says as follows:
And whoever seeks a religion
other than Islām, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he
will be one of the losers {1} .
{1} (V.3: 85). a) It is obligatory to have Belief in the
Messengership of the Prophet (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم). Narrated Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه: Allāh’s
Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "By Him (Allāh) in Whose Hand Muhammad’s soul is,
there is none from amongst the Jews and the Christians (of these present
nations) who hears about me and then dies without believing in the Message with
which I have been sent (i.e. Islāmic Monotheism), but he will be from the
dwellers of the (Hell) Fire." (Sahih Muslim, the Book of Faith, Vol.1, Hadith No.240). (See also
(V.3: 116)) b) The asking of (angel) Jibrael (Gabriel) from the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم
about Belief, Islām, Ihsān (perfection) and the knowledge of the Hour (Doomsday), and their
explanation given to him by the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم. Then the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم
said (to his companions): "Jibrael (Gabriel) عليه السلام came to teach you your religion." So
the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم regarded all that as a religion. And all that which the Prophet
صلى الله عليه وسلم explained to the delegation of ‘Abdūl-Qais was a part of faith.
(See Sahih
Al-Bukhāri, Vol.1, Hadīth No.50 and 87) And the Statement of Allāhعز وجل:
"And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted
of him." (3:85). Narrated Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه: One day while the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم
was sitting in the company of some people, (The angel) Jibrael (Gabriel) عليه السلام came and asked, "What is Faith?" Allāh’s
Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم replied, "Faith is to believe in Allāh, His angels, (the)
meeting with Him, His messengers, and to believe in Resurrection."* Then
he further asked, "What is Islām?" Allāh’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم
replied, "To worship Allāh Alone and none else, to perform As-Salāt (Iqamāt-as-Salāt), to give the Zakāt and to observe Saum (fasts) during the
month of Ramadan, “Again the principles of Islām mentioned here are 4, but in
other narrations, they are 5 - 5th is the pilgrimage (Hajj) to Makkah for the
one who can afford it one in a lifetime.
