All the praises and thanks be to Allaah, Sustainer of the Universe, and blessing and salutation to be the most distinguish of the Messengers and foremost among the Prophets, our Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allaah be on him and on his wives, children and Companions.
This wishful thinking and/or fantasy is the brainchild of some individuals in Christendom, which is the most unreasonable, most unintelligible and most polytheist religion on the face of earth. Such a claim with some un-Islaamic references is made by one of the Homer Simpson/s from the Christendom. The author of this joke writes that I quote:

Muhammad
learned monotheism from Christians! Arabs were "late
bloomers" when it came to rejecting polytheism and adopting monotheism.
While much of the world had rejected polytheism, Arabs, like late blooming
adolescents finally gave up their eternal history of paganism.... thanks to
the direct influence of Christians. |

Muslims today believe the myth that Muhammad
introduced monotheism to the area around Mecca and Arabia in general. The
truth is that Muhammad got tired of the Christians constantly preaching
monotheism to him fellow Arabs, knowing in his heart, that they were correct
in their criticism of Arab paganism. There can be little doubt that
Christians, in their evangelism of the are around Mecca, charged the Arabs
with paganism and polytheism. Christians criticized those worshipping 260
pagan gods at the Kabah and offered Christianity as a far superior
monotheistic religion. In his heart, Muhammad knew the Christians were right
and had a better religion of monotheism. But some Muslims today, are totally
ignorant of the fact that monotheism was widely preached before, during and
after the rise of Muhammad, by the Christians. It was a well known theology
and the Arabs were familiar with it. Amazingly, today Muslims criticize as
polytheists, the very one’s who taught Muhammad about monotheism! By the time
Muhammad came along, the pagan Arabs were ripe for conversion to Monotheism
because of the preaching of Christians. |
The question that begs for answer is that, then why didn’t Pagan Arabs accept an already existing monotheist (so-called) religion Christianity, they knew the Jews and Christians long before Muhammad (وسلم صلى الله علي)?
The 2nd question that comes in mind would be that, then why the Jews rejected Jesus and Christianity, if Christianity was a monotheist religion?
Fact of the matter is that Jews and Arabs both were familiar about the facts that Christianity is nothing but “Polytheism” and Jesus is the root cause of this new form of polytheism. Let us consider following facts well known to Arabs and Jews:
Contrary to that, the appealing message brought by the Muhammad (وسلم صلى الله علي) told the Pagan Arabs about the One Religion. Pagan Arabs were able to distinguish between the Salvation in Islaam vs. Salvation in Christianity! The Pagan Arab also learned about the fact that Glorious Qur’aan: Custodian of Taurat توريت and Injeel انجيل! The Pagan Arabs also witnessed (with their own eyes) the Fulfillment of a Biblical Prophecy and a Prophesy of Glorious Qur’aan. And most importantly Glorious Qur’aan Prophecies that came to PASS!
Let us examine few more facts quoting Shaikh Mufti Afzal Hoosen Elias, who writes about the “authorship” of Qur’aan that I quote:
“Had Muhammad (وسلم صلى الله علي) in fact learned from Christian monk, bishop or a Jewish person or even Christian slaves; then the following might have happened.
· Muhammad (وسلم صلى الله علي) would never have denied it because he was respected (unlike Jesus {my addition}) all his life for both preaching and telling the truth.
· He [Muhammad (وسلم صلى الله علي)] could have never preached a faith so radically different from Christianity and Judaism, particularly with respect to their creeds.
· Under the circumstances and considering the climate of antagonism existing between him [Muhammad (وسلم صلى الله علي)] and those who did not believe in his message, particularly the Jews and polytheists (Christians included {my words}) his teacher’s name could scarcely have remained unknown throughout all the years of Rasullullah (وسلم صلى الله علي) propagation.
· Whoever thought him, would surely written a book with at least a chapter similar to the Qur’aanic revelations.
· The Jews, referred to in the Qur’aan as “People of the Book” had persistently cross-examined him, defying him and hiding their books from others. How then could they have taught him at the same time? If they had taught him anything, would they not have been careful to suppress the uncomplimentary references to them contained in the Qur’aan (as in the Bible {my addition}).
· Had Muhammad (وسلم صلى الله علي) not been sincere in his Prophethood and honest in delivering the message, his relatives, his friends and followers would never have been so devoted to him, nor would they have clung to his teachings in the face of devastating hardship and persecution. It is a remarkable tribute to the character of Muhammad (وسلم صلى الله علي) and to those of his friends and followers that not one of them ever betrayed him (entire scenario unlike Jesus {my addition}).
· The Qur’aan confirms certain Biblical records of previous Prophets. Since the historical events in the Bible were originally revealed by Allaah to Moses and other Prophets, this confirms that the source is one and divine.
· If a divine authorship has never been claimed for the Bible by a Christian, why should Muhammad (وسلم صلى الله علي) have risked additional persecution from his enemies by claiming “The Qur’aan” to have revealed by Allaah, if this were not so?”
Dear readers, the polytheist Christians’ fancy is nothing but a usual cheap joke, but not even close to the facts cited above that without a doubt quashes Christendom, not to mention a plethora is found in other books including religious scriptures.
