بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

الحمدلله رب العالمين والصلوة والسلام على اشرف الانبياء وسيدالمرسلين نبينا محمد صل ا لله عليه وعلى آله واصحابه وازواجه اجمعين - امابعد

All the praises and thanks be to Allaah, Sustainer of the Universe, and blessing and salutation to be the most distinguish of the Messengers and foremost among the Prophets, our Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allaah be on him and on his wives, children and Companions.

Glorious Qur’aan 2:120

WA- LAN TARD.AA cAN -KA AL- YAHOD WA- LAA AN- NAS.AARAA H.ATTAA TATTABIc MILLAH -HUM QUL 'INNA HUDAA 'ALLAAH HUWA AL- HUDAAA WA- LA- 'IN ITTABAcTA AHWAA' -HUM BAcDA 'ALLADHE JAA'A -KA MIN AL- cILM MAA LA- -KA MIN 'ALLAAH MIN WALEY WA- LAA NAS.ER

Never will the Jews nor the Christians be pleased with you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) till you follow their religion. Say: "Verily, the Guidance of Allâh (i.e. Islâmic Monotheism) that is the (only) Guidance. And if you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) were to follow their (Jews and Christians) desires after what you have received of Knowledge (i.e. the Qur’ân), then you would have against Allâh neither any Walî (protector or guardian) nor any helper.

{1}  (However great may be your concessions to them).

{2}  (However tender you may be to them).

{3}  (And renounce your own faith, true and divine).

{4}  (And not your own connections).

{5}  'The Knowledge' here signifies Divine Revelation, which is the highest    and surest of knowledge, above all doubts.

{6} The argument addressed to the Prophet [صلى الله عليه وسلم] in effect is this: -- You cannot by any means win support and goodwill of the Christians and the Jews, since it is dependent on your accepting and adopting their religions which, as they exist, are untrue and unsubstantial to the core. But your acceptance of such untruths is impossible, since it involves your being accursed of God, which you most empathically are not. Your enjoyment of the highest Divine blessings and favors is self-evident; hence your deviation from the right course is an absurdity.

Never will the Jews nor the Christians pleased with you [O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم] till you follow their religion. Say: "Verily, the Guidance of Allâh (i.e. Islâmic Monotheism) that is the (only) Guidance. And if you [O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم] were to follow their (Jews and Christians) desires after what you have received of Knowledge (i.e. the Qur’ân), then you would have against Allâh neither any Walî (protector or guardian) nor any helper.

Ibn Jarir said, Allaah said,

WA- LAN TARD.AA cAN -KA AL- YAHOD WA- LAA AN- NAS.AARAA H.ATTAA TATTABIc MILLAH -HUM

Never will the Jews nor the Christians be pleased with you [O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم] till you follow their religion.

Meaning,  "The Jews and Christians will never be happy with you, O Muhammad! Therefore, do not seek what pleases or appeases them, and stick to what pleases Allaah by calling them to the truth that Allaah sent you with." Allaah's statement,

QUL 'INNA HUDAA 'ALLAAH HUWA AL- HUDAA

Say: "Verily, the Guidance of Allah (i.e. Islamic Monotheism) that is the (only) Guidance.

Means, 'Say, O Muhammad [صلى الله عليه وسلم], the guidance of Allaah that He sent me with is the true guidance, meaning the straight, perfect and comprehensive religion.'"[At-Tabari 2:562]... Qatadah said that Allaah's statement,

QUL 'INNA HUDAA 'ALLAAH HUWA AL- HUDAA

Say: "Verily, the Guidance of Allah (i.e. Islamic Monotheism) that is the (only) Guidance.

"A true argument that Allaah taught Muhammad [صلى الله عليه وسلم] and his Companions and which they used against the people of the misguidance." [Ibn Abi Hatim 1:356] Qatadah said, "We were told that the Messenger of Allaah (SAW) used to say,

(("There will always be a group of my Ummah fighting upon the truth, having the upper hand, not harmed by their opponents, until the decree of Allaah (The Last Hour) comes.)) [Ibn Abi Hatim 1:355]

This Hadith was collected in the Sahih and narrated from Abdullah bin Amr [Muslim 1924].

WA- LA- 'IN ITTABAcTA AHWAA' -HUM BAcDA 'ALLADHE JAA'A -KA MIN AL- cILM MAA LA- -KA MIN 'ALLAAH MIN WALEY WA- LAA NAS.ER

And if you (O Muhammad Peace be upon him) were to follow their (Jews and Christians) desires after what you have received of Knowledge (i.e. the Qur'an), then you would have against Allah neither any Wali (protector or guardian) nor any helper.

This Ayah carries a stern warning for Muslim Ummah against imitating the ways and methods of the Jews and Christians, after they have acquired knowledge of the Glorious Qur’aan and Sunnah, may Allaah grant us refuge from this behavior. Although the speech in this Ayah was directed at the Messenger of Allaah [صلى الله عليه وسلم], the ruling of which applies to his entire Ummah.

Now a days what is happening with Muslims around the world is the testament of the above Ayaah and the Ayaah 3:118 that reads,

O you who believe! Take not as (your) Bitanah (advisors, consultants, protectors, helpers, friends, etc.) those outside your religion (pagans, Jews, Christians, and hypocrites) since they will not fail to do their best to corrupt you. They desire to harm you severely. Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, but what their breasts conceal is far worse. Indeed We have made plain to you the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses) if you understand.
