Pseudo-Muslim
Osama Abdallah has published an article at his website titled The dead
turning into Fossils and Iron. The Noble Quran Claimed it, and Science today
Confirmed it!, therefore, obviously this treatise is to refute the article
in question by presenting the facts. But, before we begin, I like to present
astonishing facts about this most absurd article, which are as follows:
However, the irony of this
absurdity authored by Pseudo-Muslim Osama
Abdallah is, that it contains the following from the author of
absurdity i.e. Pseudo-Muslim Osama Abdallah,
Copy and paste of four
questionable English translations of Glorious Qur’aan:
1- Allah Almighty's Divine Claims in the Noble Quran:
Let us look at what Allah Almighty Said in the Noble Quran:
Sher Ali's Translation:
"And they say, `What! when we shall have become bones and broken
particles, shall we be really raised up again as a new creation?' Say, `Be ye STONES or IRON, `Or created matter of
any kind which appears hardest in your minds, even
then shall you be raised up.' Then will they ask, `Who shall
restore us to life?' Say, `He who created you the first time.' Still they will
shake their heads at thee and say, ``When will it be?' Say, `May be, it is
nigh, (The Noble Quran, 17:49-51)"
Rodwell's Translation:
"They also say, "After we shall have become bones and dust, shall we
in sooth be raised a new creation?" SAY:
"Yes, though ye were STONES, or IRON, or any other
creature, to your seeming, yet harder to be
raised." But they will say, "Who shall bring us
back?" SAY: "He who created you at first." And they will wag
their heads at thee, and say, "When shall this be?" SAY: "Haply
it is nigh." (The Noble Quran, 17:49-51)"
Khalifa's Translation:
"They said, "After we turn into bones and fragments, we get
resurrected anew?! " Say, "Even if
you turn into ROCKS or IRON. "Even if you turn into any
kind of creation that you deem impossible." They will then say, "Who
will bring us back?" Say, "The One who created you in the first
place." They will then shake their heads and say, "When will that
be?" Say, "It may be closer than you think." (The Noble Quran, 17:49-51)"
Yusuf Ali's Translation:
"They say: "What! when we are reduced to bones and dust, should we
really be raised up (to be) a new creation?" Say: "(Nay!) be ye STONES or IRON, "Or
created matter which, in your minds, is hardest (to be raised up), - (Yet shall ye be raised up)!" then will
they say: "Who will cause us to return?" Say: "He who created
you first!" Then will they wag their heads towards thee, and say,
"When will that be?" Say, "May be it will be quite soon! (The Noble Quran, 17:49-51)"
Following are the only
words of Pseudo-Muslim Osama Abdallah in the entire article that I quote here,
In the beginning (only 97 words),
The
pagans had a hard time comprehending the Resurrection Miracle. They had a
hard time understanding that YES, we will be resurrected no matter how
dissolved our dead bodies are. Allah Almighty Said even if we turned into
fossils or irons, we will still be resurrected.
In
these Noble Verses we see Allah Almighty talking about the transformation of
the dead bodies of humans and also animals into fossils ("stones"
or "rocks") and even iron!
Allah Almighty Saying that He can BRING us back again even if
we were FOSSILS and IRON, is a CLEAR Scientific Claim.

Conclusion:
The
Noble Quran was perfectly accurate about humans turning into fossils and iron.
As I proved above, the Divine Claim in the Noble Quran was
Scientifically proven to be true. Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, who
lived in the desert 1500 years ago, could not have known this, nor was this
information known to man back then.
The
Noble Quran has overwhelming amount of Scientific Claims and Miracles in it
that prove Its Divinity and Truthfulness. Embrace Islam and you will be
saved.
And this is supposed to be a conclusive proof and a knocking punch, while rest of the article has irrelevant copy and paste with links that a lay person cannot comprehend. Pseudo-Muslim Osama Abdallah is an individual who first find a topic based on his fancy and then do the word search (in the English translations of Qur’aan) using his search engine. Once he finds a match, the rest is history, because Pseudo-Muslim Osama Abdallah would crunch the truth to fit his fancies’ and/or theories.
The
Proof Pseudo-Muslim Osama Abdallah has tried to pull a fast one!
Let us first examine the Ayaat آيات
17:49-52, where the context is found and thought is completed with conclusive
meanings and message.
Surah Al-Israa 49-52
وَقَالُوا أَئِذَا كُنَّا عِظَامًا وَرُفَاتًا
أَئِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ خَلْقًا جَدِيدًا (49)
And they say: "When we
are bones and fragments (destroyed), should we really be resurrected (to be) a
new creation?"
قُلْ كُونُوا حِجَارَةً أَوْ حَدِيدًا (50)
Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) "Be you stones or iron,"
أَوْ خَلْقًا مِمَّا يَكْبُرُ فِي صُدُورِكُمْ
فَسَيَقُولُونَ مَنْ يُعِيدُنَا قُلِ الَّذِي فَطَرَكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ فَسَيُنْغِضُونَ
إِلَيْكَ رُءُوسَهُمْ وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَى هُوَ قُلْ عَسَى أَنْ يَكُونَ قَرِيبًا
(51)
"Or some created thing that is yet greater (or harder) in your breasts (thoughts to be resurrected, even then you shall be resurrected)." Then, they will say: "Who shall bring us back (to life)?" Say: "He Who created you first!" Then, they will shake their heads at you and say: "When will that be?" Say: "Perhaps it is near!"
يَوْمَ يَدْعُوكُمْ فَتَسْتَجِيبُونَ بِحَمْدِهِ
وَتَظُنُّونَ إِنْ لَبِثْتُمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا (52)
On the Day when He will
call you, and you will answer (His Call) with (words of) His Praise and
Obedience, and you will think that you have stayed (in this world) but a little
while!
After reading
the above Ayaat آيات, which by the way are self-explanatory, one has to be absolute
ignorant and absolute perjurer to make such absurd claims that are made by Pseudo-Muslim Osama Abdallah without submitting a shred of evidence.
Nevertheless, Pseudo-Muslim
Osama Abdallah has been
told repeatedly that, ‘Dude
don't set yourself up for a flame.’ But I am not
sure that which part of this eight words sentence Pseudo-Muslim Osama Abdallah does not understand?
In the Ayaah
آيه
17:49 the substance of the argument is that they (Disbelievers) said that when
man died and was buried under the earth, his dead body stagnated and only white
bones were left. Then they too become particles of the earth after some time, so could any sane man believe that those
particles of the human body would again come to life and resume a new physical
structure as before? {Even the pagan Arabs of Jahilyya جاهليه knew 1400+ years ago this alleged
scientific fact, so what is the big deal about today’s
alleged scientific discoveries?}
In
the Ayaat آيات 17:50-51 (first phrase of Ayaah آيه 17:51) i.e. أَوْ خَلْقًا مِمَّا يَكْبُرُ
فِي صُدُورِكُمْ ("Or some created thing that is yet greater (or
harder) in your breasts (thoughts to be resurrected,) Readers, must observe here that in Ayaah آيه 17:50 the words حِجَارَةً أَوْ حَدِيدًا are used to describe and/or refer the hardness as we
continue to read the Ayaah آيه 17:51, which continues to say,
مَنْ يُعِيدُنَا قُلِ الَّذِي فَطَرَكُمْ أَوَّلَ
مَرَّةٍ فَسَيُنْغِضُونَ إِلَيْكَ رُءُوسَهُمْ وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَى هُوَ قُلْ عَسَى
أَنْ يَكُونَ قَرِيبًا (51)
" Then, they will say:
"Who shall bring us back (to life)?" Say: "He Who created you
first!" Then, they will shake their heads at you and say: "When will
that be?" Say: "Perhaps it is near!"
Gist
It is not
difficult for Allaah (God) to give life to the particles of the dead body,
which has been alive for a long time before. But, suppose you become tone or
iron or something harder than stone or iron (which are impervious to
animation). Now, I am not
sure how Pseudo-Muslim
Osama Abdallah, has changed حِجَارَةً أَوْ حَدِيدًا into iron and
fossil and what rule[s] of elucidation and/or interpretation he has applied in
doing that? The Arabic words for fossil are أُحفُور and أُحفُوريّ
(plural, أحافير) and I suspect that “fossil” is derived from Latin and perhaps is a
scientific and/or medical term. It is very amusing to know that using a
total of 183 words, Pseudo-Muslim
Osama Abdallah has not
only claimed proving something, not meant and/or existed in Ayaat آيات
17:49-51 (his quotes), he has also changed the reference as well.
Had Pseudo-Muslim Osama known and/or researched, he would have
known that what is said in response, by Allaah in Ayaah آيه 17:51 is also
repeated and/or emphasized in Ayaah آيه 30:27 of the Glorious Qur’aan. [Also see Ayaat آيات 34:30 and 36:77-79]
Conclusion!
The Ayaat آيات 17:49-52 are
about presenting the belief in resurrection and/or the Day of Judgment and a
dialogue back and forth between the Disbelievers and the Glorious Qur’aan. That
is why the reply to their astonishment is given by saying “Say, ‘Become stones
or metal or any other creation that seems appealing in your hearts.” (Again, the stones and iron are used to express the hardness
as suggestive meaning.
In the interpretive process
in dealing with rules and conditions of Qur’aanic exegesis or commentary following
four aspects must be observed:
1. The aspect pertaining to the knowledge and understanding of Arabic usage;
2.
The aspect which no one is
excused through ignorance;
3. The aspect known by the “Ullama عُللما”;
4. The aspect known only by Allaah.
Briefly the interpretive process may be divided into thee
types: (1) Close or plausible interpretation {ta’wil qarib قريب} (2) Remote
interpretation {ta’wil ba’id بعيد} (3) Far-fetched interpretation {ta’wil
mustab’ad مستبد} All the English translations of
Glorious Qur’aan done by non-Muslims are classic example of # 3, which
enemies of Islaam love to quote/use to mislead people.
Remote interpretation
requires a far greater degree of pondering and probing into the substance of a
text. Pseudo-Muslim Osama Abdallah has
hopelessly failed to present the evidence of his pondering and probing into the
substance of the text of Ayaat آيات 17:49-52.
Far-fetched interpretation cannot be construed from the text itself and
the interpreter does not possess any shred of evidence to support his/her
interpretation, which is obviously the case here. Again, all
non-Muslim English translations of Glorious Qur’aan falls under this category
including some English translations done by Muslims. The reason for this elaboration is to make readers aware
that English translations that are used by enemies of Islaam to attack Islaam
are (a) not the Qur’aan itself (b) Any translation cannot be used being word of
man to question and/or attack Islaam and the Word of God {Allaah} (3) Almost
all English translators does not even come close to be an acceptable source of
translation let alone an authority.
I must reiterate that I don’t deny scientific realities in the Glorious Qur’aan and would strongly suggest that readers of this refutation must read my articles Scientific realities in the Qur’aan. And Qur’aan is a Book of Guidance NOT Science. However, I am not obsessed with lying, cheating and deceiving like Psedudo Muslim Osama Abdallah and Nadir Ahmed of website “Examine the Truth.com” with disinformation under the banner of alleged “scientific facts and/or proofs in the Glorious Qur’aan.
